Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations and quality care for assigned residents, including scheduling staff, coordinating services across dining, maintenance, and housekeeping, and maintaining a secure environment. Manage resident care documentation, review wellness files, and administer prescribed medications while ensuring strict compliance with state and federal regulations. Facilitate small groups and one-on-one activities, support clinical coordination for appointments, and conduct monthly vital signs tracking. Assist in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new staff, while actively participating in risk management and safety programs. Handle challenging resident and family situations with objectivity, ensuring all commitments are met and feedback is solicited to improve service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program
- Successful completion of a state approved trained medication assistant program
- Current and active certification on the Georgia Nursing Assistant Registry
- Current certification in medication administration
- Must successfully clear a background check, TB skin test or x-ray, and health screening
- Current CPR certification
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Current certificate of training for successful completion of the five (5) hour initial fire safety training provided by the Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner
- Ability to lift more than 25 lbs routinely
- Ability to lift more than 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to transfer 150 lb. or greater resident weight
- Ability to sit 1 - 3 hours/day
- Ability to stand 4 - 5 hour/day
- Ability to walk 2 - 4 hours/day
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and/or twist repeatedly throughout day
- Ability to climb stairs repeatedly throughout day
- Ability to reach 0.5 hour/day arms shoulder level
- Ability to use telephone 3 - 4 hours/day
- Ability to work under pressure 3 4 hours/day
- Ability to work rapidly for long periods 2 - 3 hours/day

- Voice messages and emails are responded to within 24 hours
- Ability to participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) call rotation as requested
- Must follow Professional Dress Code policies as outlined in the employee handbook
- Must adhere to Orchard's No Cell Phone policy as outlined in the employee handbook at all times
