Job Summary
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, trim, and metalwork while sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and washing walls, ceilings, and windows in hospital facilities. Empties wastebaskets, transports trash to disposal areas, replenishes bathroom supplies, and moves small equipment between departments. Performs general cleaning duties in rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms. Requires experience in the janitorial or medical cleaning industry; includes all weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent
- Post-Offer Medical
- Background Screening
- Drug Test
- Ability to lift, carry, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk or hear
- Occasional exposure to work near moving mechanical parts
