Job Summary
Part-time Technology Trainer delivering OATS/Senior Planet programs to older adults, teaching via in-person and virtual formats, creating a supportive learning environment, guiding participants in email, online banking, social media, and other digital tasks, coordinating with site staff, recruiting participants, and supervising volunteers. Role requires proficiency with common software/devices, strong communication skills in English (and Mandarin or Spanish as noted), travel to senior/community centers as needed, and the ability to work independently within an educational coaching context.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent speaking and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English, English and Mandarin OR English and Spanish
- Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors, preferable
- Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices
- Comfortable traveling to various senior/community centers as needed, when/if safe to do so
- Ability to work independently and as part of a training team
- Superior time-management skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional work setting
