Job Summary
Assist teachers with instruction, classroom setup, and material preparation while supervising students in classrooms, cafeterias, and playgrounds. Provide one-on-one or small group support for reading, mathematics, and other subjects; monitor student behavior using the District program; and administer state and district tests. Assess student needs to modify lessons, document progress, and organize teaching materials and student work. May oversee class during teacher absences and attend required educational training. This role supports Title I students at McKemy Academy's Middle School department for 189 days.
Required Qualifications
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree, or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience working with children
- Ability to speak Spanish
