Job Summary
Podiatric Medical Assistant provides procedural and administrative support to the physician. The Podiatric Medical Assistant will assist with procedures and patient education initiatives and maintain patient records in the EHR. Responsibilities include bringing patients to the exam room, preparing rooms, interviewing patients to verify information, assisting physicians with procedures, safeguarding medical records per HIPAA, complying with OSHA safety standards, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, and contributing to a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or two years of similar experience preferred
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- General computer experience with data entry
- The ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
- Attention to detail
- Mandatory for applicants to have their own transportation to travel to the different facilities on notice
