Job Summary
Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join Studio PDP on a 12-month placement in London. Role involves drafting and amending initial feasibility designs, assisting with planning and technical drawings, delivering presentations and reports, site inspections and quality control, coordinating with consultants, and project document control. Requires UK Part 1 architectural degree or equivalent, design skills, hand drawing/presentation abilities, knowledge of low energy design and PassivHaus, retrofit experience, detailing interest, proficiency in Revit, Microsoft, and Adobe, familiarity with codes and UK regulations, strong communication and teamwork, ability to meet deadlines, and proactive collaboration within the practice. Required Qualifications
- A UK recognised Part 1 architectural degree or equivalent qualification
- Proven design skills
- A flair for hand drawing and presentation
- An understanding of low energy design
- PassivHaus knowledge
- Experience / knowledge of retrofit
- An interest in detailing
- Experience in Revit and fluency in Microsoft and Adobe packages
- Knowledge of codes, practice standards, and industry expectations
- Knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- A proactive attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities
