Job Summary
Interim Teacher at Parkside Elementary in Spotsylvania County Public Schools focusing on gaining hands-on teaching experience while pursuing licensure. Responsibilities include preparing students for instruction, designing coherent instruction aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning, planning and delivering lessons, administering formal and informal assessments, tracking and reporting student progress, leveraging materials and technology to develop critical thinking and problem-solving, implementing effective classroom management, and engaging in ongoing professional development while maintaining licensure. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university -OR- 60 course credits and currently enrolled in a teaching program
- One (1) year of experience working with children, ideally within a teaching, leadership or mentorship role
- Actively enrolled in the coursework required to obtain appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia and School Board
