Job Summary
Parks Maintenance role focusing on general grounds upkeep of city-owned parks and recreation facilities, including mowing, fertilizing, landscaping, seedings and sod, sprinkler inspection, cleanliness of restrooms, trash removal, and preparation of ball fields and picnic areas. Will operate various grounds-maintenance equipment and may assist with park projects; interacts with city staff and may assist with areas occupied by people experiencing homelessness. Part-time position with a City benefits package and opportunities for growth; location in Salt Lake City observed. The role emphasizes physical activity, weather exposure, and safe operation of equipment, with a focus on maintaining attractive, safe public spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- May require personal and city vehicle with a valid driver’s license or driving privilege card
- Experience in maintenance and landscaping (DESIRED)
- Experience operating light or heavy-duty equipment
