Job Summary
Maintain the parking lot by removing shopping carts and obstructions, performing cleaning duties, and spot-cleaning spills or breakages. Greet guests entering and leaving the store, empty trash cans, and bag groceries as necessary. Assist guests in transporting groceries to their vehicles and place shopping carts in designated areas. Handle objects gently to avoid damage to items, people, or property while upholding a safe and sanitary environment. Comply with company policies and report potential hazards to a supervisor that cannot be immediately remedied. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum age of 16 years required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Ability to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with customers and partners
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Ability to remain courteous with customers at all times
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus
- Continuously required to stand or walk
- Continuously required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling
- Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs
- Frequently required to bend, kneel or squat
- Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 75 lbs
- Attendance at work is required
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy
