Job Summary
Check snow reports, set up parking lots and walkways with signage and safety equipment, and direct traffic safely while monitoring fire lane widths and driveway openings. Assist in snow removal and salt distribution, maintain clean work areas by removing debris, and collect and account for parking fees. Answer guest inquiries using the resort guide, guide guests to drop-off areas, and notify security of parking violations. Report unsafe conditions, equipment failures, and vehicle problems to the supervisor immediately, and adhere to all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and hazardous communications training.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Confident in functioning on snow and ice, including driving and walking
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, some evenings, and possibly overtime during peak times
- Ability to cross-sell other departments and businesses at the resort
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of people and handle various tasks and challenging situations professionally
- Team player attitude
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultures and ethnicities
- Flexible with schedule changes on short notice
- Ability to maintain a good attitude and provide accurate information during stressful situations
- Proficient in verbal communication, including radio use, and written communication with customers and co-workers
- Ability to lift 30 lbs repetitively and up to 80 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work while standing or seated for extended periods (up to 4-8 hours daily)
- Ability to work under varying weather conditions, often extreme
- Non-smoking environment
