Job Summary
Monitor designated streets, lots, and garages to ensure compliance with parking policies while providing customer service on directions and events. Issue citations and warnings using handheld computers or manual tickets, and assist maintenance staff with inspecting lots, repairing meters, and collecting parking revenues. Support event activities through traffic control and lot usage management, and help office staff with permit sales data entry during peak seasons. This role requires independent judgment, tactful interaction, and the ability to work alone in all weather conditions. A valid driver's license is required if driving a company vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of geography of the area they are enforcing
- Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
- Ability to use a hand held computer
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle
- Ability to understand and apply parking regulations
- Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Current address
- Acceptable driving record
