Job Summary
Monitor designated streets, lots, and garages to ensure compliance with parking policies while providing customer service on directions and events. Issue citations and warnings using handheld computers or manual tickets, and assist maintenance staff with inspecting lots, repairing meters, and collecting parking revenues. Support event staff with traffic control and permit sales during peak seasons, and perform other duties as assigned. This role requires independent judgment, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of geography of the area they are enforcing
- Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
- Ability to use a hand held computer
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle
- Ability to understand and apply parking regulations
- Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Current address
- Acceptable driving record
