Job Summary
Park Specialist is responsible for assisting in daily maintenance, visitor services, and conservation efforts within Arkansas state parks. This role ensures park facilities, landscapes, and public areas are well-maintained, safe, and accessible for visitors; provides friendly customer service; educates guests on park regulations; and supports recreation programs to enhance the overall visitor experience. Responsibilities include opening/closing facilities, greeting and registering guests, handling inquiries, managing front desk tasks, cash handling, merchandise displays, inventory management, and coordinating with custodial staff as needed. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping, office practices, and customer service principles is expected; lead-worX duties may involve training staff, guiding tasks, and ensuring compliance with policies.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, retail operations, or related field
