Park Operations Manager

Job Summary

Oversee daily park operations for Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures, managing staff, maintenance, safety, guest service, and financial performance across all attractions. Recruit, schedule, and supervise seasonal employees while coordinating training needs and ensuring compliance with ACCT standards and New York State regulations. Lead inspections, perform hands-on maintenance on ziplines and climbing elements, and manage equipment inventory and vendor repairs. Monitor weather, reservations, and capacity to adjust staffing and make operational decisions regarding attraction openings and closures. Serve as the primary liaison for group sales, marketing, and the Management Team, handling inquiries, proposals, and guest experience issues. Work full-time seasonal hours from April through November at a rate of $19 to $25 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable working at heights of 60 feet or more
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Must be able to stand and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
  • Must be willing and able to assist with harnessing, guiding, inspections, maintenance, and other active park duties
  • Must obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, occasional evenings, and varied hours throughout the operating season

Desired Qualifications

  • Three to five years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Experience recruiting, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating employees
  • Previous experience in outdoor recreation, adventure parks, attractions, hospitality, construction, maintenance, or a related environment preferred
  • Adventure park maintenance experience or an ACCT certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of adventure park operations, inspections, maintenance practices, and safety requirements preferred
  • Carpentry, construction, mechanical, or general repair skills preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for routine maintenance
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple areas of operation simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service and guest-relations skills
  • Strong inside-sales and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, guests, group leaders, vendors, inspectors, and members of the Management Team
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with reservation systems, point-of-sale systems, email, spreadsheets, and basic reporting
  • Ability to make quick and sound decisions based on safety, reservations, weather, staffing, maintenance needs, and business conditions
  • Passion for outdoor recreation and creating safe, memorable guest experiences
