Job Summary
Deliver direct, strengths-based parenting education using evidence-based curriculum in a supportive, community-centered learning environment. Collaborate with community partners, referring agencies, and external consultants to strengthen family relationships and prevent violence. Maintain accurate program documentation, file management, and case records while ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, state regulations, and HIPAA. Adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs and actively engage in community outreach functions. Classes are scheduled on evenings or weekends based on family availability.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with or the ability to learn social work practice
- Familiarity with human development
- Familiarity with family systems
- Familiarity with appropriate local, state, and federal regulatory rules
- Experience with keeping organized, complete, and accurate files
- Experience with regular auditing to ensure compliance
- Skills and sensitivity in working with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Skills and sensitivity in working with individuals with a variety of challenges
- Familiarity with identifying the learning struggles and successes of students
- Familiarity with Select teaching and learning strategies that support students' individual learning needs and goals
- Knowledge to observe rules establishing the nondisclosure of information except to another authorized person
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying
- Ability to take time to understand the points being made
- Ability to ask questions as appropriate
- Ability to not interrupt
- Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience

- Valid driver's license

- Bachelor's degree
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
