Job Summary
The Parent Support Specialist position involves working with families in the community to provide parenting support services through evidence-based interventions. Responsibilities include carrying a caseload of families, conducting assessments, and providing various parenting programs. This role requires collaboration with DCF workers, case management services, and participation in team meetings and supervision discussions. Ideal candidates will have direct experience with families, ideally in home-based situations, and preference will be given to those already trained in Triple P or Circle of Security. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services or related field
- Associate’s degree with two years related experience or High School Diploma with four years related experience (with approved waiver)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children and families
- Experience in home-based work with families
- Training in Triple P and/or Circle of Security
