Job Summary
Support families navigating the child welfare system using your lived experience and trauma-informed approach. Work directly with Ventura County parents who may be overwhelmed or in crisis, providing support, education, and mentorship while maintaining up-to-date case notes and documentation. Advocate for parents involved with child welfare by providing feedback and insight to spark systemic change. Serve clients in-home across Ventura, Simi Valley, and Piru using reliable transportation and Microsoft Office tools. This role requires a recommendation letter from a social worker confirming successful case dismissal. Schedule is Monday-Friday with an 8-hour shift between 7:00 am and 7:30 pm, with pay ranging from $24.00 to $27.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent at minimum
- Successfully completed their case plan with CFS and have had their case dismissed
- Letter of recommendation from the COUNTY social worker and social worker supervisor stating the successful case dismissal of CFS services
- Valid California driver's license, up-to-date insurance, and registration
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
