Job Summary
Empower and coach parents through their ODHS cases by attending family meetings, court hearings, and driving them to appointments. Build trusting relationships with child welfare-involved parents while connecting them to culturally specific resources and program support groups. Collaborate with ODHS caseworkers and County partners to support parents in achieving reunification goals and developing thorough knowledge of the Sanctuary model. Facilitate OSLC-KEEP sessions following required training and maintain awareness of compliance standards, HIPAA, and fraud prevention protocols. Requires personal transportation for travel within Clackamas County and surrounding areas, along with a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Personal experience and knowledge of addiction issues
- Minimum 2 years in active recovery from using alcohol and other drugs
- Personal experience of a ODHS Child Welfare case, closed for a minimum of 1 year
- High School Diploma or GED or high school level writing and reading skills
- Personal transportation allowing for regular travel within Clackamas County and surrounding counties for meetings and trainings
- Valid driver's license
- Personal auto liability insurance
- Must pass a criminal history check
