Parent Educator (Fatherhood Specialist)

Job Summary
Facilitate curriculum-based parenting support for fathers in Harris, Fort Bend, and Brazoria counties by leading group sessions using the 24/7 Dad program and managing online participation for ProFathering. Conduct community outreach to recruit participants and provide advocacy and referral services in local settings. Work flexible hours from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, with occasional Saturdays for planned events, while traveling frequently to community locations. Maintain a professional, confidential environment when working with culturally diverse populations in a home-based office or community settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in social work or related human services field
- Must have completed the 24/7 Dad curricula training or be able to attain such certification within the first year of employment
- Employment is contingent on acquisition of minimal certification
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional, confidential work environment
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and work force
- Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid Texas Driver License
Desired Qualifications
- One year of related experience preferred
