Job Summary
Parent Ambassador to connect families with local early childhood programs and services; build relationships with families, gather input on experiences with early learning, child care, and family services; participate in family events, listening sessions, and Local Governance Partnership (LGP) Community Table meetings; collaborate with LGP Liaison and partners to promote family-centered practices and identify service gaps; provide resource navigation for caregivers (child care, education, health, and family supports); submit a short monthly tracking form detailing outreach activities, family feedback, and success stories; available to work some evenings and weekends with advance notice; must reside in Newington, CT; travel to job sites, meetings, and trainings as required; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus; orientation and ongoing support provided; reasonable accommodations available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Is a parent, grandparent, or caregiver of a child under age 8 living in the community.
