Job Summary
Assist teachers with classwork and provide direct care for students with profound disabilities in a therapeutic, sensory-driven environment. Support individualized functional curriculum and IEP goals through one-on-one and group interactions while maintaining clean, safe classroom equipment. Document daily participation records and attend required in-services and educational functions. Successfully complete PCM (behavior management) training and obtain an Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license within 30 days of hire. Work 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday-Friday, with hourly rates ranging from $20.00 to $23.50 based on experience and education. Join Marklund Day School to partner with districts in providing specialized education for individuals ages 3 through 21 with medical, developmental, and physical disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements
- Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training
