Job Summary
Provides instructional assistance in classroom and assists in evaluating student needs and preparing appropriate materials and lessons in collaboration with certified personnel. Maintains classroom discipline and supports teacher with preparation of instructional materials within system curriculum guides. Helps implement a program of study tailored to individual student needs and abilities, protects students and materials, and supports school-wide supervision (hallways, lunchrooms, loading/unloading buses). Demonstrates prompt attendance and performs other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Georgia Paraprofessional License through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC)
- Must obtain Para certificate within 30 days of hire recommendation
