Job Summary
PARAPROFESSIONAL provides instructional support to the teacher and students by preparing materials, assisting with direct instructional activities, supervising students, proctoring tests, maintaining records, and aiding in assessment and program evaluation. Responsibilities include organizing space and supplies, following teacher plans, supporting diverse learners, enforcing classroom rules, handling clerical duties, communicating with teachers/parents, and maintaining confidentiality. Requires high school graduate status with Praxis Paraprofessional score or AA/AS/AAS or 60 college credits, and may include CDA certification or other district-required licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Shall be duly qualified as a high school graduate and have attained a score of 457 or higher on the Praxis Paraprofessional Exam, or hold an AA; AS; AAS degree or a minimum of 60 college credit hours.
- Possess Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate if required.
- Or other appropriate certificates/licenses required by the District.
