Job Summary
Provide small group or one-on-one behavioral and academic support to students, including individualized assistance based on Individualized Education Plans. Collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are met in inclusive classrooms while assisting with daily classroom operations. Promote the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical talents of each child and participate in required two-week summer training and year-long professional development series. Provide coverage as needed and engage in all other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- A High school (or equivalent) or GED diploma
- Ability to demonstrate skills in collaborative planning and problem-solving
- Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and experience with the implementation of developmentally appropriate strategies
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with school-aged children
