Job Summary
Provide small group or one-on-one behavioral and academic support to students, including implementing accommodations and modifications outlined in Individualized Education Plans. Collaborate with teachers to ensure inclusive classroom operations and promote the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical talents of each child. Participate in two-week summer training and a year-long professional development series during early release days while providing coverage as needed. Engage in all other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- A High school (or equivalent) or GED diploma
- Ability to demonstrate skills in collaborative planning and problem-solving
- Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and experience with the implementation of developmentally appropriate strategies
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with school-aged children
