Job Summary
Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans by working with individual students or small groups to reinforce instruction and adapt materials. Provide one-on-one or small group support, including accommodations for students with IEPs, 504 plans, and specialized needs. Monitor student progress, support instructional technology use, and implement behavior intervention plans. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, buses, and during dismissal while modeling positive behavior and using de-escalation techniques. Support activities of daily living as necessary and collaborate with staff to foster a supportive learning environment. Work 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, reporting to the Building Principal, with a competitive wage of $17.75/hour. Valid Iowa Paraeducator Certificate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Iowa Paraeducator Certificate
- Must demonstrate reliable attendance
- Background Clearance
