Job Summary
Paraprofessional position in Boston Public Schools (temporary vacancy) supporting direct instruction for children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, assisting with classroom setup/clean-up, managing behavior using prescribed approaches, supervising students on field trips, and performing related duties as assigned. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 48 college credits or an associate's degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys assessments, at least two years of experience with young children, and US work authorization. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor's degree and teaching certification or social work license. Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Forty-eight (48) Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate's Degree, or a passing score on one of the Formalized Standardized Assessments: ParaPro or WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants.
- Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
- Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
