Job Summary
The paraprofessional supports the teacher and classroom in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs designed to enhance students' academic and behavioral success. Responsibilities include enforcing district policies and procedures, supervising students, ensuring safety and proper use of school property, communicating with supervisors and the school community, delivering excellent customer service, protecting privacy and sensitive information, participating in professional development, maintaining records, and assisting with instructional tasks. Essential functions include facilitating instructional strategies under the teacher's direction, reinforcing skills, providing behavioral support, preparing for instruction, implementing teaching techniques to meet individual student needs, delivering behavior interventions, accommodating classroom modifications, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds) and adherence to attendance expectations in a typical classroom setting. Location notes indicate Joplin, Missouri and Irving, Texas. Term is 9 months with a classification of Classified/Non-Exempt.

- ParaPro Assessment through ETS (Jul 1, 2024 forward)
- Completed the 20HR Substitute Certificate Course
