Job Summary
Paraprofessional to support teacher and classroom in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to boost students' academic and behavioral success. Responsibilities include supervising students, enforcing safety rules, maintaining professional relationships, effective communication with supervisors and staff, delivering excellent customer service, complying with privacy and district policies, participating in professional development, attending required meetings, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with grading, roll call, and instructional activities. Essential functions center on implementing instructional strategies, reinforcing skills under teacher direction, providing behavior support and interventions, meeting individualized needs, and collaborating as part of an educational team. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating a typical classroom environment are required.
Required Qualifications
- 60 college credit hours or
- ParaPro Assessment (before Sep 23, 2013) or
- Paraprofessional Assessment through Pearson (Sep 23, 2013 through Jun 20, 2024) or
- ParaPro Assessment through ETS (Jul 1, 2024 forward) or
- 20HR Substitute Certificate Course
