Job Summary
Support at-risk students one-on-one by adapting classroom activities, implementing IEP behavioral plans, and modeling appropriate social interactions. Document daily activities, monitor schedules and behavior, and provide instruction in life skills under teacher direction. Communicate with healthcare professionals to evaluate progress and respond to emergency situations or de-escalate conflicts. Maintain accurate records and files while ensuring student safety at all times. Requires 60 college credits, passing the Missouri Paraprofessional test, and a valid driver's license. Reports to the building principal.
Required Qualifications
- 60 college credit hours
- pass the Paraprofessional test in the State of MO
- Missouri 20-hour Online Substitute Training Program
- Valid Driver's License
- Evidence of Insurability
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
- Experience
