Job Summary
Paraprofessional in Special Education providing classroom support under certified staff. Responsibilities include assisting in instruction for individual students or small groups, observing and recording behavior, collecting data and maintaining records, helping with arrival/dismissal, supporting confidentiality, facilitating educational technology use, and participating in professional development. Requires collaborating with teachers, supporting behavior modification techniques, organizing materials and schedules, and supervising students during lunch and recess.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's degree, OR completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an institution of higher learning, OR demonstrated proficiency in the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing and mathematics via state or locally approved competency test.
