Job Summary
The Special Education Instructional Support Paraprofessional provides instructional support to students with disabilities, helping them progress in both the general curriculum and specific IEP goals. Key responsibilities include assisting teachers in data collection, classroom management, and clerical tasks, as well as maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The role requires certification and strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or two years (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) of college OR HS diploma/GED with successful completion of the Georgia Paraprofessional Certification Test
- Valid Paraprofessional Certificate

- Ability to work well with adults and students
- Proficient in instructional technology, including Microsoft Office applications
Additional Requirements
- Maintain paraprofessional certification as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
