Job Summary
Paraprofessional – Special Education in a school-based setting providing direct support to students with disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with physical tasks and self-help activities, reinforcing instructional content, moving students between locations, supervising students during drills, field trips and assemblies, supporting the special education teacher in group work, maintaining student progress data and documentation, assisting with classroom material distribution, and upholding confidentiality and professional conduct. Requires collaboration with staff, ongoing professional development, and ability to work within a team in a 10-month calendar with ISIII grade-level expectations. Strong communication and basic computer skills are beneficial.
