Job Summary
Provide direct support to students in the specialized autism program by assisting with instruction, daily living activities, and supervision. Collaborate with staff on student planning, data collection, and progress monitoring while maintaining accurate records. Build secure relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Report suspected abuse or neglect as required by law. Perform other related duties as assigned, including emergency situations, building events, and occasional coverage of colleagues. Work the District academic calendar, typically 35 hours per week at $16.12 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 60 college credit for eligibility of a substitute certificate
- Vision ability to read handwritten or typed materials
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently
- Ability to push or lift up to 50 lbs as necessary
- Ability to meet multiple demands from several people while interacting with other staff and the public
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to be transferred to other buildings within the District
