Paraprofessional, Special Education 9-12

Assist classroom teachers in providing developmentally appropriate activities for students with and without special needs, including English language learners. Support daily routines such as managing transitions into and out of classrooms, which may involve lifting and carrying students. Facilitate participation in field trips, emergency drills, and classroom tasks like snack service, cleaning, and bathroom duties. For health positions, duties include feeding, changing diapers, and toileting children. Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children while performing assigned tasks. Requires passing the Paraprofessional test or holding 48 college credits or a Bachelor's degree.
