Job Summary
Provide instructional support to teachers in Special Education for K-8; assist with reading instructions and classroom activities, supervise lessons, read stories, monitor seat work, and support both teaching-related and non-teaching tasks under direct supervision of teachers; duties include working one-to-one or with groups, assisting with routine classroom activities, organizing and filing materials, and handling reproduction of materials; require either a high school diploma or equivalent plus one of the following: an associate degree, at least 48 college credit hours, or passing the Para-Pro Assessment; term is nine or ten months; reports to the principal and works under supervision of teachers; non-exempt under FLSA; salary according to the paraprofessional salary schedule.
