Job Summary
Assist special education and general education teachers with classroom instruction, IEP accommodations, and daily living skills like feeding and mobility. Monitor students across multiple environments, facilitate positive behavior modeling, and lead small group activities under teacher direction. Provide physical care as needed, escort students to classes and buses, and collect data related to individualized goals. Maintain confidential student records and communicate with staff and families. Support lunchroom and recess duties as assigned. Work seven hours daily for nine months during the school year.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and in written form, with administrators, staff, and the community as needed
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Ability to reason and make appropriate decisions in high-stress situations
- Good vision and hearing capabilities
- Ability to lift over 20 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs

Desired Qualifications
