Job Summary
Provide instructional support under the direction of the teacher; work with individual students or small groups; assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays; assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments; help maintain a neat and orderly classroom; assist with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment; help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports; provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers; supervise students throughout the school day (lunchroom, bus, playground); notify the teacher of special needs or problems of students; participate in staff development and faculty meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Para Professional Certification or Associate's degree
- Two years of study at an institution of higher learning as required by ESSA
- Valid Texas education aide certificate
