Job Summary
Support teachers and work directly with students displaying unsafe or disruptive behaviors in classroom and self-contained settings. Implement positive intervention plans, conduct small group or individual activities based on lesson plans, and assist with routine recordkeeping and equipment management. Enforce classroom rules using positive behavior techniques, provide toileting and personal hygiene assistance, and supervise students during bus travel and school activities. Deliver specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis, discrete trial intervention, and assessment administration to teachers and staff. Collect performance data, maintain composure during stressful situations, and ensure adherence to safety procedures and federal/state laws.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician Certificate or willingness to obtain and maintain RBT certification
- Minimum one year experience with students with significant disruptive behaviors and/or Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Passing of the GACE Ethics Assessment and GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
