Job Summary
Paraprofessional One on One With Student. Assist the teacher with students in the classroom and supervise students in lunchroom, playground, and during bus transitions. Use copying machine to prepare classroom materials; assist with feeding and toileting of students needing total care; assist with lifting/positioning of non-ambulatory students; support student with self-help skills; perform other duties as assigned. Requires Educator Licensure with Stipulation or Illinois Teaching Licensure or 90-day sub licensure (with proof of college hours or qualifying tests), high school diploma, ability to follow directions, and ability to communicate effectively. Physical and TB requirements and CPI training/refresher courses are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Educator Licensure with Stipulation or valid Illinois Teaching Licensure or 90-day sub licensure
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform all job-related functions
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or written directions
- Ability to communicate and maintain good working relationships with other employees and general staff of the assigned school
- Physical and TB test
- Must take CPI course and refresher courses
