Job Summary
Assist special education teachers with care of individual students; support instructional resources and implementation of instructional strategies; supervise students and assist with daily living skills (e.g., toileting, feeding) to enable access to the school environment; follow each student's instructional plan; provide academic support in the classroom; work with students who may exhibit behavioral challenges; maintain confidentiality; participate as a collaborative team member across settings according to the needs of the classroom.
Required Qualifications
- Substitute certificate through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Background check
- Drug test
- Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan
- Ability to work with students who exhibit high educational needs/support and behavior intervention
- Ability to work as a team member and follow directions as outlined by supervising staff
