Job Summary
Paraeducator role supporting certified teachers in the instruction of exceptional students within the TLEC/school setting. Responsibilities include assisting licensed staff, attending inservices and staff meetings, maintaining confidentiality of student records, supporting inclusion and development of students’ skills, and providing work-related instruction under guidance of professionals. May transport students and meet current driving requirements (CDL/defensive driving/Medic First Aid) as needed; adapt strategies to support language and motor development, behavioral management, and IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and therapists. Requires flexibility in scheduling and location throughout the district.
