Paraprofessional, Mainstream 5-8 (Long Term Substitute)

Assist classroom teachers in providing developmentally appropriate activities for students with and without special needs, including English language learners. Support daily routines by managing student transitions, field trips, emergency drills, and classroom maintenance tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, and bathroom supervision. For health positions, responsibilities include feeding, diaper changing, and toileting children. Maintain a safe environment for all students while performing other tasks assigned by the building principal. This role requires passing the Paraprofessional test or holding 48 college credits, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with the appropriate age group is essential.
