Paraprofessional (Instructional)

Paraprofessional (Instructional) assists certified staff with students in the classroom to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills; works with students individually and in small groups; assists with administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments; supports classroom preparations and instructional materials; maintains records of student learning and performance; helps with classroom behavioral management and supervision during lunch, bus duty, playground, study hall, and field trips; accompanies students on field trips; aids in distribution of educational materials; assists with parent contact to foster involvement; supports students with special needs and participates in IEP processes; helps with activities of daily living for students with disabilities; follows safety rules; may assist with travel between schools; requires ability to carry out instructions, basic arithmetic, computer skills, confidentiality, and effective communication; typical duties may include assisting guidance staff, and performing related duties as assigned. Includes note that the position is remote for Minnesota Virtual K-5 and may require travel between schools.
