PARAPROFESSIONAL, INSTRUCTIONAL

Provides advanced assistance and support to teachers and administration. Assists with instructional and behavioral management duties, helps students with in-class work, prepares assignments, and supports grading. May assist in the Library Media Center or Computer Lab. Responsibilities include presenting subject matter under teacher guidance, supporting individual and small groups, coordinating with families in the students' native language, supervising students, and potentially supporting designated curricula or computer-lab operations. Maintains confidentiality of student information and completes required training and meetings. Emphasizes equity, accountability, integrity, collaboration, and fun as part of DPS culture. Salary ranges at $21.787–$26.123 hourly for new hires (annualized to reflect hourly rate), with benefits and PERA retirement described in resources.
