Job Summary
Paraprofessional in Instructional role assists in providing a well organized, smoothly functioning classroom environment where students can learn subject matter and develop skills through small group instruction and computer-assisted learning; duties include conducting small group or individual activities based on lesson plans, supervising students, assisting with computer operations and software, grading and reporting on student performance, preparing instructional materials, observing and reporting on student behavior, and performing clerical tasks as needed. Requires at least two years of college and experience with computers/instructional software; strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of college is required. Sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours. College Transcript or diploma is required as evidence of education.
- Some experience working with children is desired.
- Experience working with computers and instructional software is required.
