Job Summary
Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings to build rapport and foster a safe, nurturing learning environment. Support resource teachers in delivering IEPs, take direction from lead educators, and assist with various mod-to-severe scenarios including toileting, personal 1:1 care, and challenging behaviors. Observe and communicate across varied indoor and outdoor settings while maintaining physical stamina for sitting, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs. You'll receive a dedicated consultant for alignment with school assignments, access to 1:1 check-ins, and paid training hours. Scoot Education matches candidates to public, charter, private, and faith-based schools for long-term or short-term placements ranging from substitute teaching to specialized roles like behavior interventionists.

- ABA experience (Applied Behavior Analysis)
- Experience working in K-12 schools
- Experience with assisting in various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
- Comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations
