Job Summary
Support the North Reading Public Schools' kindergarten program as a full-time General Paraprofessional. Responsibilities include assisting the classroom teacher, providing instructional support to students, supervising during arrival/dismissal/lunch/recess and bus duty, assisting with preparation of instructional materials, implementing behavior management, and supporting the principal and staff in daily operations. Requires ability to physically assist students, strong communication skills, and multi-tasking; Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2+ years of relevant experience preferred. This role includes five days per week (35 hours) with qualification of citizenship/residency/work visa as required by district policy.
Required Qualifications
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve independently
- Ability to physically assist students, as assigned
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience preferred
- This may include a background in education including college and/or work experience
