Job Summary
Support classroom teachers by providing educational opportunities for students in resource, self-contained, and regular settings. Implement prescribed instructional strategies, conduct small group or individual activities, and assist with student assessment, grading, and data collection. Manage student supervision, including classroom oversight and bus monitoring, while adhering to IEPs, behavior plans, and healthcare protocols. Prepare instructional materials, maintain classroom equipment and inventory, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Provide ongoing feedback to personnel regarding student performance and participate in training programs to enhance skills.
Required Qualifications
- Education level in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines
- Certification as mandated by the Professional Standards Commission
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Passing of the GACE Ethics Assessment
- Passing of the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
- Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
- Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
