Job Summary
Paraprofessional to support a Deaf and Hard of Hearing program in a preschool to grade 2 setting. Responsibilities include 1:1 support for a student, assisting the classroom teacher with instruction and IEP goals, ensuring student safety, supervising throughout the school day, providing personal care such as toileting and self-care, and facilitating independence, social awareness, language, and appropriate behavior. Requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs and willingness to participate in on-site language training; employment contingent upon passing SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree
- Ability to work with special needs children
- Must pass SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening
